Description of the project:
The survcoin is a decarbonisation coin being launched as a pilot project in Luxembourg to demonstrate that dedicated currencies can contribute to both individual and collective efforts to reduce our carbon footprint. Survcoins are granted as rewards to users and organisations who take part in such efforts in proportion of the avoided greenhouse gas emissions. Thanks to partnerships with companies and institutions, the minted survcoins are to be used within an ecosystem of carbon emission-curbing transactions.
Description of the technology used/to be used:
The survcoin uses a blockchain architecture called “proof of authority” derived from Ethereum and designed to guarantee as low as possible energy usage per recorded transaction. Users receive and spend their coins on a simple wallet app.
